Manson always did heavy jokes with John 5. Manson did pranced towards John and accidentally caught John’s head with his boot , but that day was in one week in that John lost a familiar, and he wasn't mood for jokes also,for that reason was that John responded so, pulling the guitar on the floor. John said in an interview: "There is no bad blood between Manson and me over this incident and it can be written down to the pressures of touring" (John had suffered from panic attacks during that tour, and Manson also had difficulties and pressures during the tour too). Despite this, too John maintains he respects Manson, citing his skilled production style and his love for the band's music. John was already a fan of the band before joining in 1998. In response to a question regarding the reason for the split with Manson, John 5 was quoted by Vintage Guitar Magazine when said: "At the end of the last tour, I decided I really wanted to do this thing alone and that I had to devote all my time to it. The split with Manson was totally amicable. It wasn't one of those big breakups. We're friends. I wish there was some good dirt, but there's not".

I LOVE when the Ambiance in a guitar is caught candidly. Its my favorite sounding recording ever, and when he freaks out and gets pissed, so dies his guitar. You can hear him come right thru the thing, right down to when he throws it and picks it up.

Here is what ACTUALLY happened: Johns sister had just died and he received the bad news on this exact tour in a rather empathetic way ... he was walking down the stairs to get ready and someone from the crew tells him "I'm sorry man your sister passed away" or something to that effect. and after that he had tremendous issues sleeping. couldn't sleep for days, he said. then on this particular performance he had been up for days and was obviously still grieving the loss of his sister... was probably drinking a little bit IMO ( the drinking part is just a guess) And Manson was doing that goose step looking thing he does and accidentally ran into him and then he completely flipped the fuck out. he says he doesn't even remember any of this probably because of being so sleep deprived cause that will fuck your head all up even cause hallucinations! Manson told him "what are you doing? pick up the guitar and play!" No one kicked anyone's ass lol. no one even threw a punch! fucking click bait bullshit ....it's like the national inquirer of YouTube.

John 5 later said that during that tour he found out that his sister had died suddenly and he was in so much shock that he couldn’t sleep for like 3 or 4 days, and when Manson was skipping across the stage and bumped into him and accidentally kicked him in the chest he just snapped and went berserk. According to John 5 in an interview with Eddie Trunk, he was still reeling from the very recent death of his sister and doesn't even remember flipping a shit on Manson. John 5 said he learned of his sister's death on that very same tour and hadn't been sleeping basically at all.

"I was in Europe and I was coming down the stairs, off a stage after a concert, and they told me my sister died. And I was in a state of shock; you just go into a state of shock. And here's the strange thing that happened to me: I didn't sleep for days and days and days. It was the strangest thing. I just wasn't tired. This wasn't a fight. John 5 just lossed a couple of family members, and so he was kind of out of it. It was rehearsed that Manson would walk across the stage, as he was doing, and when he got close to John 5, he would take a step back. He was kind of out of it, and so didn't move in time and Manson's boot accidentally caught his head. John 5 said he reacted out of frustration, and admittedly unprofessionally. Manson knew he lossed some family that's why in this video you could see him pretty much telling him, it's ok, and trying to get him back into enjoying the music. This is not a fight.

What happened at Rock AM Ring 03? Okay. One time and one time only. As seen on footage for the gig, Manson caught John with his boot during the opening bars to "The Beautiful People. Unnecessary gossip has speculated that this was deliberate. It wasn't. Here’s why John reacted. The Grotesk Burlesk tour had been pressurizing for all band members, and RAR was not one of the easiest concerts ever. During the opening bars of The Beautiful People, Manson, pranced towards John and accidentally caught John’s head with his boot...He reacted with frustration and as he has noted himself "unprofessionally". The reason was in the week before the RAR concert he had suffered some very close family losses. John lashed out. There is no bad blood between Manson and John over this incident and it can be written down to the pressures of touring (John had suffered from panic attacks during the Grotesk Burlesk tour, and Manson also had difficulties and pressures during the tour), and the personal happenings behind the scenes.
Despite this, John maintains he respects Manson, citing his skilled production style and his love for the band's music. John was already a fan of the band before joining in 1998. I've always thought the songs have integrity but I wouldn't say they wade into territory that is anywhere near as technically brilliant or strange as the material that John 5 is capable of producing. At least in Zombie's band he can pull a fuckin solo... In Marilyn Manson it's clearly a case where, "you can't upstage the superstar on his stage". That being said, I do in fact like Manson.

"Mickey Mouse" as you like to call him has nearly passed out from exhaustion before at the end of his concerts because he is sweating so bad and tired out from all the stage theatrics he does. And the only reason John 5 was so pissed was because he was so frustrated and sad because he had just lost some family members a few weeks ago, which Manson did not know about. When he left the band it was a mutual agreement between the two because they each wanted to do different things

John's father was in the last stages of cancer, when in the middle of all this, his sister dies of a heart attack just the day before this show. Manson was telling John "Don't bring your family into this" John snapped.

I think it was an accident. He kicks a lot. lol. I had the same thing happen. I was jumping and slammed into my bassist. We had a good laugh after he clocked me in the balls.

Manson didn't kick his ass at all! If anything Manson is backing away from John 5. Also this show was in 2003, John 5 stayed with Manson until 2004, his parting from Manson was an amicable agreement between the 2 of them because J5 wanted to concentrate more on his solo project

John 5 is a super nice guy and didn't deserve that type of treatment. I met him in person, always takes the time to say hi to his fans. Manson on the other hand has an inflated ego.

It was a total accident that he knees him in the head. You can see Manson trying to be disarming and apologetic, not threatening and picking a fight. It’s all good between them so if it’s ok with them than it’s certainly ok with me. Ain’t my life 😂🤣

John 5: You know what..I really don't even remember that much about it, but it was...alot of it was basically kinda my fault because my sister just died & I was in Europe & I was like a real mess & he was just rockin' out like normal & hit me, or whatever happened..he kicked my guitar or something like that & that was about it, but it was really kinda my fault, because I just freaked out & I shouldn't have & it was pretty unprofessional of me.

No tensions were running high on the tour and john 5 just had a family member pass away and a bunch of negative shit happened and he said he just lost his cool.

Clearly the OP has no idea what an "ass kicking" is. This was simply a person venting his frustration - with his self (and possibly his jealousy of any attention John 5 was getting) - on an employee; who then reacted first in surprised anger (what the heck are you doing? We're performing a song and you just kicked me?); and then opted to take the professional highroad: ("you are a jack,ass; but I'm going to get through this regardless of you")
