Nature Boy
John Coltrane Lyrics

There was a boy
A very strange
Enchanted boy
They say he wandered
Very far, very far
Over land and sea
A little shy
And sad of eye
But very wise was he
And then one day
A magic day
He passed my way
And while we spoke
Of many things
Fools and kings
This he said to me
"The greatest thing
You'll ever learn
Is just to love
And be loved in return"

You can play a shoestring if you’re sincere ~ John Coltrane

My goal is to live the truly religious life and express it through my music. If you can live it, there's no problem about the music, because it's part of the whole thing. ~ John Coltrane.

Listening to Trane & friends create, innovate, amaze. Reading Faulkner's Go Down, Moses. This isolation thing is working out.

John Reilly...what a great combination: Faulkner and Coltrane. That totally makes sense to me.

You are correct my friend, music and musicians like them, they are not exist today. Love this music. 👍.
The problem is this virus now, so all we stay home and listen good music.

Like this skillful and "dry" way to play this tune.
For the first time i heard "Nature Boy" in a version of Titi Bamberger .
Of course, this version is completely different.
Every time i hear this 1963 version, i perceive another side.
Love it like "my favourite things" or like " a love supreme ".
