Children of Junior Vasquezβs original Sound Factory, the duos early collaborations became an essential link between the classic sounds of New York house and a new generation of DJs and producers influenced by the grittier side of hip hop, experimental electronica and the subnarcotic soundscapes of Jamaican dub and roots music.
Breakthrough remixes of Kosheenβs βHide Uβ, iioβs βRaptureβ and Satoshi Tomieβs βLove In Trafficβ brought the Creamer & K sound to a global audience, but it was with original productions βForget the Worldβ and βWish You Were Hereβ that their place in the ever evolving history of house music was secured. Both songs, now veritable classics, are defining examples of why their music has long been a favorite of pioneering DJs Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez and DJ Vibe: propulsive, intricate, rhythms; a masterful sense of dynamics; and an understated, emotive, lyricism that transcends the dancefloor.
Their productions earned them Remix Magazineβs βRemixer of the Yearβ award in 2002 and a coveted spotlight on John Digweedβs Bedrock label with their genre defying mix album βBedrock 4: Mixed and Compiled by John Creamer & Stephane Kβ. Bedrock 4, with a nod to βbeer, pussy and Xanaxβ in its liner notes, was a guttersnipe, punk, assault on the house music establishment and made Creamer & K two of the most sought after remixers in electronic music.
By taking the genre into darker territory, the music press were quick to label the Creamer & K sound everything from βdrug houseβ to βprogressive houseβ, but before any of those labels could stick John and Stephane were looking toward the future and already on to something else. A string of stellar remixes followed (New Order, Sinead OβConnor
and Yoko Ono among them) appearing on labels as diverse as Azuli, Kaos and Mute, with the duo taking their music live to club
goers from Japan to Egypt and all points in between.
Ushering in 2007 with the launch of NY Love Records, an outlet for original productions, exclusive remixes and collaborations, fans of their work can expect several new chapters in a storied career dominated by one simple notion: the future lasts forever. . .

I remember everyone singing along to the vocals at the local after hours. Everyone definitely had a personal connection and a loved one who is no longer in their lives
