@@someguy8951 I asked him about it in 2017. This is what he said:
"Thanks for your support and interest in the lethal Weapon music!

I do not own the rights to the recording - that is property of Universal Music Group - and I am not allowed to distribute it. I understand that this would just be for personal use but, unfortunately, these days everything seems to end up on the internet, and I’d be in trouble if that happened. UMG considers the Lethal Weapon music to be the “anthem” for the LW series, and keep close watch on it's use. The only way it can be released is with lengthy contracts and hefty payments!

Sorry I can't be more gracious, but it is out of my control. Honestly, I get asked for the LW and Die Hard recordings quite often, so I think I might need to put a note on my web site stating that I can not release the recordings! haha

Best
John"

Fantastic work. It's a shame we can't get the original copy of it anywhere but this will most certainly do

@TyroneDaviesWELSHMAN

I had wondered why no one had attempted a version of this track when its so hard for fans to get a copy, any copy! Great work. I even emailed John Eric Alexander and he has a disclaimer asking people not to ask for the track!

@someguy8951

I wonder why he said that

@TyroneDaviesWELSHMAN

@@someguy8951 Yeah.. After fandom encouraged MGM/EON to release the Parodifair James Bond trailer theme from Goldeneye. You would think they would make it available for fans..

@srico7313

When they would score trailers epic times!!!! 80s times!!!!

@tdnguyen2000

I agree. John Eric Alexander has a good way to make a trailer music sound badass. Music trailers like this, Predator, Mosquito Coast, Frantic, Se7en, and Point Break make a better listen.

@VikingAF

Awesome! Thank you! Please consider re-doing music from the scene in Above The Law (1988) in the church, right before the explosion. The weird flute thing that sounds so cool.. Thank you
