Ralph Allen Wilson

I saw him a few times in the late 60s. Once at a small club in Santa Barbara I got up the courage (I was only 19) to request this wonderful song--stumbling over the name a bit. He said, "yeah, that's a good song," and he played it.

Nowhere No where

BEST PERFORMANCE EVER.

3 times I had the privileged of witnessing this performance (in 1971,1972,then in 1974 at Carnegie Hall) each time, the audience sat in silence ( I mean you could hear a pin drop ) I was so moved, out of respect, I went into seclusion for nealy a year until I learned the piece. I also had the privilege of meeting & befriending John, I'm sure I don't stand alone when saying I mis JohnFahey!!!

A true artist if there ever was one

Jimi Cooper

@deyenloner I wish I'd been around back then. I was born in '72. I've learned many tunes by Fahey. Tonight I learned this version of Dance of the Inhabitants. Great lap slide version. It's great to hear the respect he was given at shows. You can tell in his music that he took it VERY seriously. Fahey is it. Just a creative and expressive fountain of energy. Amazing.

David McGarry

I think he's my favorite artist.

Nate Whelden

does anyone know what the part right around the 1:54 mark is? Is he transitioning into something different, a different piece or song? I just love that part. Fahey forever. love, peace, solidarity from chicago.

Amazing what some people can do with an empty box with some wires strung across it
