Amanda
John Krueger Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And I can sing those songs
We can try to forget that we're so far apart
And the distance is getting longer
Oh, Amanda
Don't run away with my heart
Before it's over
Well I love you more and more each day
So tell me it's okay to not be afraid
Of loving you
I'll fly to New York City
To be with you and this won't be so hard
Cos the telephone just won't cut
The distance between our lives
Oh, Amanda
Don't run away with my heart
Before it's over
Giving you all
Well I love you more and more each day
So tell me it's okay to not be afraid
Of loving you
I'm searching for flights
Or maybe, just maybe I will drive
That's what I'll do
Cos honey I love you, Amanda
The song "Amanda" by John Krueger is a heartwarming love song about two people who are in a long-distance relationship. The lyrics tell a story of how the couple is struggling to cope with the separation and distance between them. The singer is trying to express his love for Amanda and how he is willing to go the extra mile to make it work. He acknowledges that it's not easy being apart from each other but is determined to keep their love strong.
The first verse highlights how they keep the connection alive by writing letters and singing songs. They try to forget about the distance that keeps growing between them. In the chorus, the singer directly addresses Amanda, pleading with her not to run away with his heart before their love story is over. He reassures her that his love for her grows each day, and he needs her to be okay with the idea of them loving each other despite the distance.
The second verse shows the singer's commitment to closing the distance between them. He's willing to fly to New York City or even drive to be with her. He acknowledges that the telephone can only do so much, and he wants to be with her physically. The song ends with the singer telling Amanda that he loves her and is searching for ways to be with her.
Overall, "Amanda" portrays a couple who is dedicated to making their long-distance relationship work. They're not afraid of the challenges that come with it because their love for each other grows stronger every day.

Freddy V : The Dream Child (1989)
I like that scene celebrating the fusion of flesh and metal; with all that combination of high speed, smoke, sparks; and all those wires brutally penetrating underneath his skin... it really looks and feels very violent as well as painful, and - though not being a sadist - I have to admit that it's kind of exciting to see the poor boy thus tortured !

I hate that this movie was censored. The people who did the effects on the Nightmare films were incredibly talent. In terms of filmaking, they are work of art.
The Foggy Who?
I remember watching this scene with my older brother and his friends back in the early 90βs. I was around 3-5 years old, all I remembered from this scene were him trying to get to the phone and the wires on the motorcycle injecting into him. As I got older I would wonder what this was from. Thatβs just the magic of childhood, so many things seen on tv that are just vivid memories of not knowing what they truest were.

This franchise always came through with the video game style deaths that made you wanna writhe in agony with the victim, puke from the gore and just stare in amazement at how cool someone's death could possibly be.

This actually terrified me as a kid. I spent years trying to find what movie this was from and almost started thinking I imagined it all as a kid.

I guess it's all a matter of how old you were when you watched it. I was around thirteen and I just found it funny and goofy. But when I saw Tina die in the first movie I was ten and, to this day, it's freaky as fuck.
