From playing absolute rockabilly in the beginning, John Lindberg Trio have incorporated modern influences along the way and created a tougher sound, without losing the rockabilly style.
Combined with their tight and explosive live show, this made them one of Sweden’s most popular live acts.
John Lindberg Trio musical journey started with 13 year old John on stage with his guitar.
When Martin (double-bass) and Jocke (drums) joined later on, everything fell into place. In spite of their young age they are already widely experienced and have done more live gigs than most band do in a lifetime. The release of their debut album in 2006 was followed by a Christmas tour as supporting act for The Refreshments – and consistently became the band people talked about when the night was over. The two following albums were well received by their old fans and also generated lots of new. The band is now planning to release their fifth album in February 2011.
John Lindberg Trio journey continues, with no ending in sight.
Why Don't You Dance
John Lindberg Trio Lyrics

Like a leave shaking in the trees
Well if you digging to the rhythm and hold on to the beat
This will really get you going so get up on your feet
Why don't you dance?
Dance just like me
Come on and dance
My soul is burning and my head is in a spin
Wipe the dirt from your tiptoe shoes and jump right in
The stereo is playing a Little Richard song
Let's go crazy, let's roll it on
Why don't you dance?
Dance just like me
Come on and dance
Dance just like me
Well, we're in the groove
Temptation is getting close
I'm losing all my sorrow
I'm just heading for higher notes
So we'd be digging to the rhythm and hold on to the beat
This will really get you going so get up on your feet
Why don't you dance?
Dance just like me
Come on and dance
Dance just like me
The lyrics of John Lindberg Trio's song "Why Don't You Dance" celebrate the joy of dancing and the power of music to move the soul. The opening lines compare the act of singing to the flight of a bird, and the movement of dancing to the rustling of leaves in the breeze. The lyrics encourage listeners to let go of their inhibitions and join in the fun, suggesting that dancing is a way to connect with others and find release from cares and sorrows.
The repeated refrain of "Why don't you dance? Dance just like me. Come on and dance. The use of repetition and simple, catchy rhymes emphasize the universal appeal of dance and music, making the song easy to sing along to and remember.
Overall, the lyrics of "Why Don't You Dance" capture the spirit of classic rock and roll, inviting listeners to let loose and enjoy themselves.
