He moved on, since 1965. Besides, it so doesn't matter. It's in the fingers, not the guitar. He's as expressiv as ever, and he makes that strat sound softer and warmer than most are able with an LP.

Great, very professional performance. Interesting, I'd just watched some Clapton from 1978 and his playing was so much more ragged and inspired back then. He's become very mannered. Still an amazing guitarist, just a little on the stagnant side. He could play all these licks in his sleep. They're threadbare by now. Still--

I was John’s neighbour for a while when he lived in Laurel Canyon. He’s a very cool dude and a guy with an old head on young shoulders, but the best advice he ever gave me was to seek out and wear moleskin pants. Nothing, he said, gives you more comfort and keeps you grounded better. Well sir, I’ve been wearing them ever since, made by a specialist tailor in Rochdale, England. He was right. I love m’y moleskin pants and I believe that in some way they protected me from Covid. Need I say more?

Tends to highlight just how great "The Beano" album was and Eric's energy as a young man shone through like a laser. Sadly the passage of time has meant that the fire in Eric's belly is long gone. That was insipid, high-school-band delivery.

I don't think so. According to Joe Bonamassa the Beano Burst still exist somewhere in USA in a private collectors posession. IF that's the case (big if), I'm sure Eric could get it back if he wanted. Of course there's a possibility that Joe isn't being honest, and Beano is really lost forever.

Well the Strat is much lighter than a Les Paul,like Paul McCartney he most likely that he is Older he needs a lighter guitar. McCartney uses the Hofner which is lighter than his Rickenbacker Bass.

Clapton is not a good blues player. His blues phrasing is elementary and always awkward at best. Beano was a fluke where he copied other blues players. He is the most overrated blues player in history. Now his work with Cream is a different story. Phenomenal!
