Destiny
John Talabot Feat. Pional Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You, come and get over here
And give me your hands
Suddenly he is walking around
and this life is what everybody was talking about
this is what makes me special

You, come and get over here
And give me your hands
...
its a destiny, I don't believe in destiny,
yes you do, you just don't know it yet
its destiny

you come get over here
and give me your hand

you come get over here
and give me your hand

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of John Talabot Feat. Pional's song, Destiny, talk about the concept of destiny, how it is something that people don't necessarily believe in until it happens to them. The opening lines of the song address someone, asking them to "come get over here and give me your hands", as if implying that they need to take someone's hands to lead them towards their destiny. The line "suddenly he is walking around and this life is what everybody was talking about, this is what makes me special" seems to suggest that the singer has realized that their current life is what they were meant to have, as if they have fulfilled a certain destiny.

The chorus repeats the lines "it's a destiny, I don't believe in destiny, yes, you do, you just don't know it yet, it's destiny" suggesting that even though they may not believe in destiny, it is something that exists and they will eventually come to accept its role in their life. The song ends with a repetition of the opening lines, asking the person to come and get over here and give the singer their hand.
