I feel like down the road, this is going to be a classic, it shows a lot of literary themes and symbolism, along with the biblical scale of the whole thing, but it also provides study worthy film techniques, especially with the cinematography, so if we just give it some time, it'll be a classic for sure

Definitely feels like it's growing in esteem. Could be this generation's Blade Runner.

It's already my all-time favorite. Truly stunning. Both Cuaron and del Toro are amazing at connecting with our humanistic better impulses.

I remember watching this in theaters on a boring Saturday afternoon because I saw the trailer on tv that same day. As awesome as this movie is I cried like 3 times watching it. This is hands down one greatest movies I have ever watched. It's beautiful and sad all rolled up into one. The ending is bitter sweet but gives hope for a better tomorrow. Extremely underrated!!!!

It's one of my favorite movies of all time, although I've only watched it a couple times. It's hard for me to handle sometimes.

violachic I agree. This move can be down right depressing and gives a sense of hopelessness. I think that is what drives the movie even more and gives a heavier weight in world we're humans are at the brink on extinction.
