After briefly reforming in the mid-seventies with the classic Tom Rush number, ’No Regrets’ and a come back album of the same name, followed by a further two albums, ‘Lines’ and ‘Nite Flights’ the Walker Brothers broke – up again in 1978. John then took a rest from performing to perfect his craft as a recording engineer, ultimately building his own recording studio at his home in L.A. During this time he was also extremely busy as a record producer and composer, writing at first for other artists, under the umbrella of his own publishing company, Arena Artistes Association.
In the early years of this century, John has returned to touring and recording, most recently appearing in the UK as part of the "Solid Silver Sixties" Tour. More info can be found at John's website, www.john-walker.org
In 2010, John Walker was diagnosed with liver cancer, which claimed his life on 7 May 2011.

Love to hear all of your brilliant comments about John . I knew him from when I was just a kid when he bought me my first guitar & tried in vain to teach me how to play guitar . I have so many memories of way back with John & family . Love them forever & miss them .

Brilliant lucky you I remember reading it was Gary Leeds who was touring as a drummer with P.J Proby went back to the U.S met up with Scott and John and suggested the music scene was better in the U.K I am very grateful Gary was right
