Have you seen the series? If you haven't I'd thoroughly recommend it.
It's on eBay for not that much $$s.

Perhaps what I wrote a couple of years ago particularly, "utterly incredible by our conceited contemporary viewpoint" was off the mark and excessive.

The series which was made in the early to mid 1980s was eye opening to my, "conceited contemporary viewpoint" at the time and I should've known better than to make silly sweeping statements now I'm 30 years wiser (apparently).

Still, that series puts a great perspective on the evolution of the guitar - and they were very good. I guess my comments were more aimed at those that think the greatest in everything can only exist in the present - though as you point out it usually does.

You're correct - everything evolves.

What an amazingly powerful performance...Just listen to their sensitivity. If a Classical musician cannot appreciate this then he must be dead for this brings to life everything silent. My fondness of music is that it is to bring to life everything that is boring and sad for an intellectual of any kind. But there is even more to music. The beauty of it is divine.

Amazing...just look how their style is different. Note the right hands, Bream changes the angle very often, while Williams always keeps it straight on top to produce a flat sound...Combination creates such a masterpiece.

@SuperIndianajoe

aunque no sean españoles , la ejecucion es limpia el sentimiento expresado , suena muy bueno , gracias

El mejor dúo de guitarras clásicas en todo el mundo!!!

@kiltlvr

Totally agree. It would be good to have a side by side comparison, live performance example of Parkening/Brandon's live performance vs Bream/Willams. Haven't done enough searching yet to see if there is a live version of B/W

@AldbroBev

I simply love to see these two together always in harmony like salt 'n' pepper. The wrinkled look of concentration always on Julian Bream's face makes me me smile. Classic Guitar magic. Thanks for posting :-)

@rups334

This is really great performance by both the legends. i don't have words to comment on their expression while performing. Beautiful! Awesome!

@ChrissGuevara
