Born in Houston, Texas, Nash began as a pop singer in the 1950s. He became famous for singing the theme song for The Mighty Hercules cartoon in the early 1960s (which song he also wrote). His biggest hits were the early reggae tunes Hold Me Tight, I Can See Clearly Now, and Stir It Up, written by Bob Marley prior to Marley's international success.
Nash was last active as a composer in the Swedish romance Vill så gärna tro (1971) in which he portrayed Robert. For many years he seemed to have dropped out of sight; however, in May 2006 he was singing again at SugarHill Recording Studio in his native Houston.
There Are More Questions Than Answers
Johnny Nash Lyrics

Pictures in my mind that will not show
There are more questions than answers
And the more I find out the less I know
Yeah, the more I find out the less I know
I've asked the question time and time again
Why is there so little of a moment
What should we take and how much should we give
There are more questions than answers
Pictures in my mind that will not show
There are more questions than answers
And the more I find out the less I know
Yeah, the more I find out the less I know
Oh, yeah
Oh, what is life, how do we live
What should we take and how much should we give
There are more questions than answers
Pictures in my mind that will not show
There are more questions than answers
And the more I find out the less I know
Yeah, the more I find out the less I know
The less I know
So little, so
The less I know
Johnny Nash's song "There Are More Questions than Answers" is all about the realization that the more we learn and discover about life, the more we realize that we really don't know anything at all. The song paints a picture of someone who is constantly struggling to understand the world around them but finds that the more they try to make sense of things, the more confused they become. The opening line of the song "There are more questions than answers" sets the tone and the theme of the song, touching on the idea that life is full of uncertainties and often lacks clear explanations.
The line "Pictures in my mind that will not show" suggests that the answers we seek are not so easily revealed, and that despite our best efforts, there will always be a level of ambiguity and mystery surrounding the world we live in. The repetition of the line "And the more I find out the less I know" reinforces this message, driving home the idea that the more we know, the more we realize how little we understand.
In the chorus, Johnny Nash asks questions that resonate with us all, such as "What is life, how do we live? What should we take and how much should we give?" These are universal questions that people have been asking themselves for centuries, and are questions that don't have very straightforward answers. The song "There are More Questions than Answers" reminds us to embrace the mystery inherent in life and the world around us, and to recognize that perhaps seeking answers is not always the ultimate goal.

This is the song that, aged 15, inspired me to ask the deepest questions of life. Fly high Johnny, sing with the angels, for we can see clearly now, that the answers to our questions lie in accepting that some questions cannot be answered.

A lovely thing to say.
@fornlike
The last of the questions he asks in the refrain of this so beautiful song ("How much should we give") is far more important than all the equations or paradoxes of the entire science. The simple fact he asked himself this question is a proof that he had a peculiarly interesting soul. It's another reason for me to be proud of my eternal love for him. I'll always miss Johnny Nash but thank to God, I have many of his songs.
