I woke up with a cold sweat and saw that my wife was sleeping soundly on my left side.

I peep around the room then I make a sudden jest
I looked around the room and made a sudden joke to ease my fear.

A feather from a black crow was beside my pillow
I found a feather from a black crow next to my pillow.

Was it a sign from God to repute for the things that I did in my lifetime
I wondered if the feather was a sign from God to repent for my past actions.

Now my soul's on the line
I realized that my soul was at stake.

I realized that smoking could lead me to hell with cancer.
