The songs also involve a variety of strange and unexpected recorded clips and the use of unusual, yet meaningful objects. Fans of Sparklehorse, Bright Eyes, Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Leonard Cohen, Will Oldham, Bjork, Radiohead and The Books could be interested.
The first EP 'The Broken Leg Sessions' was released in 2010 on the 'Rural Colours' label. The new little brother label of the excellent Hibernate Recordings, A new album is due out December 2012.
Those interested in original artwork, new songs, lo-fi recordings, rambling musical experiments, clippings of poetry and other matter can visit his official web-site (www.johnnypowell.com).

"Oh, y-you wanna know about the French Revolution, huh? Well let me give you the short version."
"Executions."
"Executions EVERYWHERE!"
"Seriously, you couldn't take a single step in France without getting blood on your shoes back then, it would've been a dry cleaner's worst fucking nightmare!"
"And to think, these are the same people that invented mayonnaise... Makes you wonder what anybody's capable of. I'll tell you one thing, I would NOT wanna piss off Gordon Ramsay. Guy could probably make Cain look like a Nerf gun."

The fact that Johnny seems more afraid of the Angelus than The Darkness should REALLY say something.
@bubblemonkeys
Because the host of the darkness is a friend of Johnny, so about 49% chance less likely to be killed by the Darkness, while being killed by the Angelus is increased by 149%
@deadcut7282
@@bubblemonkeys That and the Angelus is seemingly more reckless than the Darkness.

Give this voice actor an award!
@zyhurbeelzebub6213
Ah yes, David Hoffman. He works as the Liberty Mutual Ad guy now. I wish he had more Voice Over roles.

@Mikeanglo
Man, I love Powell's narration. Makes these collectibles worth finding.
@zirconviper
Johnny may look and sound like a total nutcase, but he's actually a genius.Ā
@timtam2400
Totally agree. He has a serious stutter problem, and he keeps acting like something's stalking him, but when it comes to knowing about the Darkness, the Angelus and the Relics, you won't find a better ally.
@bubbajoe117
Timothy GregoryĀ to be honest he's actually got good reason to believe somethings following him all the time. considering his profession and all on the Darkness and Angelous.
