Let's try it in slow motion
Yes, baby
Make it last a little longer
Ah, darling
Let's start in slow motion
Yeah, baby
Make it last a little longer
Baby, don't haste make waste
And your good loving is best too good to waste
I want you to understand me
That making love can be a specialty
And, baby
I need your love
I want your love
I need your love
Right now
Let's do it in slow motion
Yes, darling
Make it last a little longer
Ah, baby
Let's do it in slow motion
Yes, darling
Make it last a little longer
Stronger, longer, stronger
Baby, when you put your lips on mine
Don't turn them back too fast, no, no
I said, kiss me, squeeze me, let me know you need me
Let's try to make our love last, yeah
And, baby
I need your love
I want your love
I need your love
Right now
Let's do it in slow motion
Yes, darling
Make it last a little longer
Ah, baby
Let's try it in slow motion
Yes, darling
Make it last a little longer
Stronger, longer, stronger
Baby, come on, let's do it, let's do it
Let's do it in slow motion baby, yeah
Make it all right, make it all night
Make it all right if it takes all night
Yes, do it, do it in slow motion, in slow motion
Slow motion, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow motion
It's slow motion, don't lose it, don't lose the groove
Don't lose it baby, don't lose the groove
You, know I like it, yeah, yeah
You know exactly the way I like it baby, alright, in slow motion
The song Slow Motion Part 1 by Johnny Williams is an ode to the beauty and sensuality of slowing things down. The singer implores his lover to take their time, to savor the moment, to stretch out the pleasure for as long as possible. The repetition of the phrase "make it last a little longer" reinforces the idea of lingering, of not rushing to the conclusion. The singer advises his lover not to "haste make waste" and reminds her that "making love can be a specialty," emphasizing the importance of taking care and putting in the effort to create something exceptional.
The singer's desire for slow motion is reinforced by the song's rhythm, which has a dreamy, languorous quality. The use of soulful horns and a steady, insistent beat evoke a feeling of luxuriousness and indulgence. The singer's earnestness and sincerity make it clear that this is not just about physical pleasure, but also about emotional connection and intimacy. All in all, Slow Motion Part 1 is a passionate plea for the kind of love that takes its time and savors every moment.
