This independant alternative/rock 5-piece has recently released their Ep “Lost in song” to rave reviews and record sales exceeding 1000.
3 weeks into the release they were selected as “Australian Myspace Artist of the Week” which had them featured on the main myspace home page, and also the Australian section of myspace. It resulted in over 4000 hits in 3 days, and a total of 50,000 to date.
They’re selling to all parts of Australia on Itunes, and internationally as well.
Taking influence from the likes of Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Coldplay and Snow Patrol, Jolan evoke emotion in listeners with their ambient sound scape and sometimes haunting imagery.
Working with Producer Chris Townend (The Presets, Lior) and recording at BJB studios Sydney & Mainstreet Studios, Jolans Ep showcases a band being themselves, nothing more, and nothing less....

Quite how this video has only reached 8k viewers is beyond me. This is literally the best song of Q4 thus far and I am disappointed that it isn't getting the love and appreciation it deserves. I hope Virgin really continue to plug Jolan's music and give him a chance to grow his fan-base. With a talent like his at stake, it would be criminal for them not to let him develop as an artist on their label.

I agree but I’ve only ever heard Jolan today via random YouTube recommendations whic was his blind audition for the voice. I’ve spent the las hr and a half listening to him. He’s fantastic! So is this song but never heard it till now. Seems to me that the music is strong, the vocals awesome, but the marketing/promotions team isn’t doing Jolan any justice. I’m not a new an as of an hour and a half ago

A real good sound with plenty of funk & groove, love the 1990's dance beat with modern injection. I'm liking the video very much but most of all I absolutely love that it is Jolan singing, this guy is an amazing young artist. I think the poor guy might need to go on one of the other shows, when the runner up actually often gets more success than the winner. The voice really focuses on the winner.. it's like they just forget he existed which is really sad as he's got an absolutely wonderful voice.
