It's All Right
Jon Batiste Lyrics

Say it's alright
Say it's alright
It's alright, have a good time
'Cause it's alright, whoa, it's alright

Now listen to the beat
And kinda pat your feet
You've got soul and everybody knows
That it's alright, whoa, it's alright
When you wake up early in the mornin'
Feelin' sad like so many of us do
Just hum a little soul, make life your goal
And surely something's gotta come to you

Say it's alright
Say it's alright
It's alright, have a good time
'Cause it's alright, whoa, it's alright

Now everybody clap your hands
Give yourself a chance
You've got soul and everybody knows
That it's alright, whoa, it's alright
Whoa, it's alright

Now everybody clap your hands
Give yourself a chance
'Cause you've got soul, sing it again
'Cause you've got soul
'Cause you've got soul and everybody knows
That it's alright

Say it's all right
Say it's all right
It's all right, have a good time
'Cause it's all right, whoa, it's all right

Now listen to the beat
And kinda pat your feet
You've got soul and everybody knows
That it's all right, whoa, it's all right

When you wake up early in the morning
Feelin' sad like so many of us do
Just hum a little soul, make life your goal
And surely somethings got to come to you

And say it's all right
Say it's all right
It's all right, have a good time
'Cause it's all right, whoa, it's all right

Now everybody clap your hands
Give yourself a chance
You've got soul and everybody knows
That it's all right, whoa, it's all right
Whoa, it's all right

Now everybody clap your hands
Give yourself a chance
'Cause you've got soul
'Cause you've got soul
'Cause you've got soul
And everybody knows
That it's all right

Say it's all right (it's all right)
Say it's all right (it's all right)
It's all right, have a good time
'Cause it's all right, whoa, it's all right

We're gonna move it slow
When lights are low
When you move it slow, it sounds like more
And it's all right, whoa, it's all right

Now listen to the beat
Kinda pat your feet
You got soul, and everybody knows
That it's all right, whoa, it's all right

When you wake up early in the morning
Feelin' sad like so many of us do
Hum a little soul
Make life your goal
And surely something's got to come to you
And say it's all right (it's all right)
Say it's all right (it's all right)

It's all right, have a good time
'Cause it's all right, whoa, it's all right
Now everybody clap your hands
Give yourself a chance
You got soul, and everybody knows
That it's all right, whoa, it's all right

Someday I'll find me a woman
Who will love and treat me real nice
Then my woe's got to go
And my love, she will know
From morning, noon, and night
And she's got to ...

Say it's all right (it's all right)
Say it's all right (it's all right)
It's all right, have a good time
'Cause it's all right, whoa, it's all right

Now everybody clap your hands
Now give yourselves a chance
You got soul...

@Chaila Yama Thanx, I needed this. I could provide you an example of me, but I don’t want it to sound too dumb. In any case, tho, here goes.

I am SICK AND TIRED of reading and thinking about everyone else’s comments about my favorite things. Take Onward for instance. I have loved that movie ever since its first trailer. Still do, and it’s my favorite movie of all time. I mean the brother relationship, dad, the relatable scenes, etc. are all done exquisitely, In my opinion, it’s even one of Pixar’s best films.

Lately I nowadays have been seeing so many people (heck, even some critics back then) talking compete and utter crap about it, ranking it low, and just being so plain disrespectful to the ending. I can’t really believe it, because I seen them love it as much as I did in the past when it was first released. I mean, I get that ppl have their opinions, but it still upsets me that they would have the audacity to crap on it. It even brings tears to my eyes, and it’s just way too frustrating, y’know? It’s like they don’t even recognize art when they see it, they only think of the smallest things😢😢😢

Then the damn coronavirus came and completely screwed up any chances for a great box office run it had.

I REALLY don’t think Onward deserves nearly much of the hate it got. I really despise how mean ppl are toward it. It’s heartfelt, magical, amazingly relatable, etc. I mean, I enjoyed Soul and it’s a great movie, don’t get me wrong. I just seriously think Onward deserves just as much of a better reputation as well. I also hate how annoyingly a lot of ppl compare the two. I may say that Onward is better one for me, but I do not compare Pixar films, I just enjoy.

See, I keep coming back to Twitter and YouTube comments hoping to see something positive, only to be hit with the exact opposite. My mind even tells me to do so, and I HATE IT SOOO DAMN MUCH!! 💔💔💔😡😡😡😡😡

So you get my point? This is supposed to be the new year of a new me, but right now my life just sucks. 💔😢

Sorry about my potty mouth, tho

This movie teaches you that life is not just about the big things such as dreams, money, fame... but the little things around you. The blue sky, the wind, the laughs...and especially pizza.

I really loved this movie. It just dealt with so much things that we can all relate to, particularly the one scene after Joe's gig where he feels satisfied, but underwhelmed. Like when you finally achieve a goal, and you're happy you did but like.....you feel it wasn't what you expect, that really hits, and to me, it shows that the goal isn't what makes it all worth it....its the journey, it's the process that leads you to it and the little things you learned along the way to make you a stronger person. Us as humans never want to stop pursuing something new and meaningful, even when we achieve our passions and dreams, new ones immediately take hold and we strive ourselves to go through that journey again.

Please let me know the name of this movie. Thank you 😊

Well said. We spend our lives reaching for the things, the place, the job, the house, the person that's going to make us happy when actually that feeling is here, now inside us, just waiting for us to tune into it
