After All Is Said and Done
Jon Secada Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Just take me back
I promise to be a man of honor
Is there still a chance
That we can find tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
Live for today
Because yesterday's come and gone
I hope you can stand a little stormy weather
After all is said and done
Through all the heartache
Through all the fun
You are the only one
I'll ever love
And I'll work hard to make you see
There's still a chance girl if you believe
You're the only one I'll ever love
Don't walk away baby...please
I'm begging you I'm down on my knees
I know I hurt you
But I know you know
I never will desert you baby
Different strokes for different folks
Your love means the most
Yes, I'm your man
Love you the best I can
Again and again and again
After all is said and done
Through all the heartache
Through all the fun
You are the only one
I'll ever love
And I'll work hard to make you see
There's still a chance girl if you believe
You're the only one I'll ever love
The song "After All Is Said And Done" was released by Jon Secada in 1994. The song is about a man who is seeking forgiveness from his lover as he realizes that he hurt her in the past. He tries to make amends by promising to be a man of honor and assuring her that he'll work hard to make their relationship work. He urges her not to walk away but to believe that they can still find happiness together. The man acknowledges that they've been through heartache and fun together, and despite everything, she is the only one he will ever love.
The song communicates the message that love can survive the challenges that come with a relationship, and it's essential to recognize the value of the love between two people. It emphasizes that there is always hope for reconciliation, even after the worst of experiences.
In general, the song has a catchy tune and will appeal to those who enjoy ballads, particularly of the romantic genre. The lyrics are straightforward and easy to understand, allowing the listener to connect with the emotions of the song's message.
