The album went Platinum in the US. One of its singles had a top ten Pop hit If You Go and a Top 30 hit Mental Picture, which was used in the soundtrack for the film "The Specialist". His third album on EMI, Amor, was released in 1995 and earned Secada his second Grammy for "Best Latin Pop Performance".

Ready For Love
Jon Secada Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Then one thing that you said
Did it again
Turned our world upside down again
I surprised you, I surprised myself
Is this what we need?
I don't wanna stop
I don't really wanna stop this
(I can love you like no other, I can)
Ready for love, I feel fine
I feel just fine, ready for love
Rebounded, founded
What I hope is missing in me
I'll admit this is new to me
Did I catch you at a bad time?
Do I ask too much?
I don't wanna stop
(I can do this, I am ready I know I can do this)
I don't really wanna stop this
(I can love you like no other, I can)
Ready for love, I feel fine
I feel just fine, ready for love
I surprised you, I surprised myself
Is this what we need?
I don't wanna stop
(I can do this, I am ready I know I can do this)
I don't really wanna stop this
(I can love you like no other, I can)
I feel fine
(Ready for love)
I feel just fine
(Ready for love)
