The album went Platinum in the US. One of its singles had a top ten Pop hit If You Go and a Top 30 hit Mental Picture, which was used in the soundtrack for the film "The Specialist". His third album on EMI, Amor, was released in 1995 and earned Secada his second Grammy for "Best Latin Pop Performance".

She's All I Ever Had
Jon Secada Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Here I am, alone again and I need her now to hold my hand
She's all, she's all I ever had
She's the air I breathe
She's all, she's all I ever had
It's the way she makes me feel
It's the way she understands
She's my lover, she's my friend
And when I look into her eyes
It's the way I feel inside
Like the man I want to be
She's all I ever need
So much time, so much pain, but there's one thing that still remains
It's the, the way she cared the love we shared
And through it all she's always been there
She's all, she's all I ever had
In a world so cold, so empty
She's all, she's all I ever had
It's the way she makes me feel
It's the only thing that's real
It's the way she understands
She's my lover, she's my friend
And when I look into her eyes
It's the way I feel inside
Like the man I want to be
She's all I ever need
She's all, she's all I ever had
It's the way she makes me feel
It's the only thing that's real
It's the way she understands
She's my lover, she's my friend
And when I look into her eyes
It's the way I feel inside
Like the man I want to be
She's all I ever need
She's all I ever need
When I look into her eyes
It's the way I feel inside
Like the man I wanna be
She's all I ever need
Here I am
The lyrics of Jon Secada's song She's All I Ever Had speaks of the singer's deep emotional attachment to a woman who is his solace in troubled times. He begins by describing his vulnerable state, with "broken wings, quiet thoughts, unspoken dreams." It is clear that he feels lost without the woman, whose supportive hand he needs to hold during these uncertain times. The chorus repeatedly affirms the depth of his feeling; she is all he ever had, she is the air he breathes, and the only thing that feels real to him. She is his lover and his friend; her understanding of him is an essential component of his emotional well-being.
The song continues with the singer reminiscing about the time he has spent with his significant other, admitting that it has not always been easy. "So much time, so much pain, but there's one thing that still remains," he sings. Despite their difficulties, she has always been there for him, and he acknowledges that their shared love is a bond that has stood the test of time. The song concludes with a repetition of the chorus, a reaffirmation of the intense love and need he feels for the woman who is his constant source of comfort.
