Jon grew up in Chicago with his parents and two older brothers. Jon always mentions his brothers in interviews saying that he's really close to them and that they are "... cooler than me. Like way cooler."
Jon was in a high school band called Farewell Night with friends: Adrian LaTrace (formerly lead guitarist The Academy Is...), Shawn Ernst, and Matt Kravcar. There is a nine minute long video on youtube.com of this band performing during a 3 day weekend.
While out with The Academy Is..., Panic met Jon backstage. In an interview with Steven Smith of Steven's Untitled Rock Show, they all admitted that they became instant friends with Jon. Walker joked in saying that the only reason Panic found him was that he put out an ad in the yellow pages. After the whole deal with Wilson, the band contacted Jon saying that they wanted to him to go on tour with them to just fill the void. In July of 2006, Jon became an official member of the band.
Jon started becoming more involved with the band by mainly being the one to update the online journals on their official website. www.panicatthedisco.com
He has two cats named Dylan and Clover, and a dog named Marley. He currently uses Gibson and Fender basses. According to the Lucent Drosier Vaudeville Cirque, Jon loves to cook and clean. Attended Bartlett High School and graduated in 2004.
In July 2009, he and fellow band member Ryan Ross left Panic and formed another band, The Young Veins. In December 2010, after The Young Veins were officialy on indefinite hiatus Walker announced his solo project. On January 6, 2011, Jon released his first solo EP called Home Recordings.

Exactly what you need of me, please do
Please let me do, all the things you want me to
Don't be afraid!
I won't leave you alone tonight, if you need me here,
juste to hold you tight, baby that's alright
Yeah, yeah, don't be afraid!
I won't leave you alone yonight, if you need me here,
juste to hold you tight, baby that's alright
'cause it just feels good to me.
Let does, oh let me me through
I'm not that door that hides for vilain truth
let me in, oh let me in
Along to make you all again
Don't be afraid
I won't leave you alone tonight, if you need me here,
juste to hold you tight, baby that's alright
'cause it just feels good to me.
