The place we first locked eyes
(Oh)
I feel like we're both losing sight
We don't get to do this twice
And I wonder
Will you care when I'm gone
And I'm sorry for the trouble
That's been costing us so much
Splitting apart, it's getting harder to tell what you want
So bored with these games (games)
Games (games)
The last time that I left these steps
Was after our first kiss
I wonder why you haven't shown
I'll be leaving here alone
And I wonder
Will you care when I'm gone
And it's time and I've really had enough
And I'm sorry for the trouble
That's been costing us so much
Splitting apart, it's getting harder to tell what you want
So bored with these games (games)
Games (games)
(So bored with these games) splitting apart, it's getting harder to tell what you want
So bored with these games
(So bored with these games) splitting apart, it's getting harder to tell what you want
(Yeah) so bored with these games
(So bored with these games) splitting apart, it's getting harder to tell what you want
So bored with these
I'm left in the dark
I never thought you would be breaking my heart
I'm so bored with these games (games)
Games (games)
Will you care when I'm gone
And it's time and I've really had enough
And I'm sorry for the trouble
That's been costing us so much
Splitting apart, it's getting harder to tell what you want
So bored with these games (games)
Games (games), games (games), oh-oh, games (games), ohh-yea-ah, games
In "Games," Jonas Brothers sing about a relationship that seems to be falling apart due to the games that the couple plays. The singer is standing outside the place where they first met, waiting for their partner, and reflecting on their relationship. He feels that they are both losing sight of what is important and that they only have one shot at this relationship. They wonder if their partner will care when they are gone and if they will regret playing games.
The song is about people who are in a relationship but are not communicating well with each other. The singer is trying to bridge the communication gap and express how he feels about his partner's behavior. The song's use of the phrase "games" suggests that the couple is not serious about the relationship and are simply playing around with one another's emotions. The singer feels that it's time to stop playing games and start taking their relationship seriously.
