Poinciana
Jorge Dalto & Superfriends Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Poinciana, your branches speak to me of love
Pale moon is casting shadows from above
Poinciana, somehow I feel the jungle heat
Within me, there grows a rhythmic, savage beat

Love is everywhere, it's magic perfume fills the air
To and fro you sway, my heart's in time, I've learned to care
Poinciana, from now until the dawning day
I'll learn to love forever, come what may

Love is everywhere, it's magic perfume fills the air
To and fro you sway, my heart's in time, I've learned to care
Poinciana, from now until the dawning day
I'll learn to love forever, come what may

Thank you so much Adnan Amil for this wonderful upload! The great Jorge Dalto was not from Brazil, as you stated, but from Argentina. What a pity he went so soon. A great loss for music.

I think Jorge Dalto is a very competent pianist musician and I like his work that he did with Benson in Weekend in LA album. This is one of my favorite tracks by him in his featured solo project and I just love the groove here. Benson's contribution is likewise remarkable. I'm so glad that there are still people like you who listens to stuff like this. They never grow old, don't they? If you also have something on Lyle Mays, that would be much appreciated. Thanks so much for this upload.
