Corazones rojos

Y no te puedo mirar
Y seguir tu humor
Búscate un trabajo, estudia algo
La mitad del sueldo y doble labor
Si te quejas allá está la puerta
No estás autorizada para dar opinión
Corazones rojos, corazones fuertes, corazones rojos
Eins, zwei, drei, vier
Hey mujer
Hey mujeres
Hey mujer
Hey mujeres
Nosotros inventamos, nosotros compramos
(Corazones rojos, corazones fuertes)
Hey mujer
Hey mujeres
Hey mujer
Hey mujeres
Hey, mujeres (y no me digas nada a mí)
Hey, mujeres (corazones rojos no me miren así)
Hey, mujeres (y no me digas nada a mí)
Hey mujeres (corazones rojos)
Hey mujeres
Hey mujeres
Hey mujeres
Hey mujeres
Hey
Muchas gracias, buena noche
The song "Corazones rojos" by Jorge Gonzalez is a powerful and thought-provoking commentary on the sexism and oppression against women that still exists in society. The chorus, "Corazones rojos, corazones fuertes" (red hearts, strong hearts) represents the resilience and strength of women, while the rest of the lyrics illustrate how women are treated as second-class citizens.
The first verse describes how women are expected to endure insults and oppression without complaint, with the line "mil insultos como mil latigazos" (a thousand insults, like a thousand lashes). The singer recognizes that he can betray and mistreat women without consequence, saying "yo sabré como traicionar, traicionar y jamás pagar" (I know how to betray, to betray and never pay), because he is a man and therefore above reproach.
The second verse depicts the stereotypes and limitations placed upon women in society, with lines such as "eres ciudadana de segunda clase, sin privilegios y sin honor" (you're a second-class citizen, without privilege or honor) and "no estás autorizada para dar opinión" (you're not authorized to give your opinion). The song also touches on the exploitation of women's love and labor, with the singer stating how he will take advantage of a woman's love as a child, mock it as an adult, nap during her motherly love, and lie to her as a wife.
Overall, "Corazones rojos" is a painfully honest and unflinching portrayal of the mistreatment and marginalization of women.
