I have always loved Harry Belafonte’s version. On Christmas Eve 1974, when I was 13, I heard this version on the radio at my grandmother’s house and have been haunted by it ever since. So beautiful.

This is indeed the most beautiful version of this song. You can feel his passion when he is singing this song. I love this song and the way Jose sings it. His version of Silent Night is also very touching it makes you feel the truth about why we have Christmas. Nope, it's not the presents but the birth of Jesus Christ that should be celebrated, in my humble opinion.
