Down The Line
José González Lyrics
I see problems down the line
I know that I’m right
There was a dirt upon your hands
Doing the same mistake twice
Making the same mistake twice
Come on over and be so caught up
It's not about compromising
I see problems down the line
I see darkness down the line
I know it's hard to fight
There was a dirt upon your hands
Doing the same mistake twice
Making the same mistake twice
Come on over
Be so caught up, it's all about compromise
I see problems down the line
I know that I’m right
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up
Don’t let the darkness eat you up

The song Crosses, from Crosses EP and the later Veneer, appeared on the finale of the second season of the popular American television comedy-drama The O.C.. His cover of Heartbeats (also from Veneer) was used in a popular Sony BRAVIA TV commercial featuring coloured bouncing balls in San Francisco and an episode of Zach Braff's Scrubs
His song Far Away was also prominently featured in the Rockstar video game Red Dead Redemption.
His trademark sound is solo acoustic guitar with soft melody. His work, although mostly original, does include acoustic covers of great hits such as Love Will Tear Us Apart, Born in the U.S.A., and Teardrop.
González also appears in the Zero 7 album The Garden, in which he sings on three tracks and on a re-worked version of Crosses.

lyrics
I see problems down the line,
I know they're not mine.
Don't wash the dirt off of your hands.
You're doing the same mistake twice.
Making the same mistake twice.
Come on over,
don't be so caught up.
It's not about compromising.
I see problems down the line,
I know they're not mine.
I see darkness down the line,
I know it's not fine.
But don't wash the dirt off of your hands.
You're doing the same mistake twice.
Making the same mistake twice.

Massive attack has alot more than teardrop to offer. I do love staying alive bro;)
Pork
@Sepulchral Miasma down the hill, lovastain, and hand on your heart are all good songs
Aubrey Mitchell
@Sepulchral Miasma crosses, heartbeats, far away was in rdr 1, cover of tear drop theme song of house, stay alive was the main song of Walter mitty. Just because your not aware he did other stuff doesn't mean he didn't or that it isn't good music.
Joel Hembree
@Anthony G I agree but I also like stay alive, and teardrop in my opinion was under rated.
Sepulchral Miasma
Name 3 other songs you like by him? Thought so.
He was good but nothing came from him..

Hey Jose I just wanted to let you know that your music and this song in particular helped me deal with my dad's death back in 2011 and a lot of other hard times in my life. Thank you.

One of the best songs of all time.

the emotions, the force that transmits with his guitar, makes him so unique...
