Storm
José Gonzélez Lyrics

It's getting lonely down here
Things holdin up to late for me
And kept me from sinking
Why do you keep on running?
This love is fading way to fast
All the stars are burning (for you)
So stop chasing your past
As soon as the storm is over
And all the fog is clear
As soon as the storm is over
I promise to send out for you
As soon as the storm is over
Ooh
As soon as the storm is over
Ooh
As soon as the storm is over
Ooh
As soon as the storm is over
José González's song "Storm" is a melancholic tune about feeling lonely and lost. The opening lines, "Send me a position, it's getting lonely down here," speak to the singer's yearning for a connection with someone who is distant. The lyrics convey a sense of being stuck in a difficult situation and needing a way out. The lines "Things holdin up to late for me, and kept me from sinking" suggest a struggle to stay afloat in the face of overwhelming circumstances.
The next verse speaks of a love that is fading too fast, with "All the stars are burning (for you), but none of them are going to last". This could be interpreted as a message to a person who is chasing a past love and not living in the present. The singer is urging them to stop chasing their past and let go of what's already gone. The repetition of the line "As soon as the storm is over" creates a sense of hope that things will improve in the future. Ultimately, the song is a plea for connection and a recognition that healing takes time, but there is always hope on the other side of the storm.

Tell me where you are at emotionally or geographically
It's getting lonely down here
I feel isolated and alone in this moment
Things holdin up to late for me
I'm feeling overwhelmed and everything is piling up too high for me
And kept me from sinking
But somehow, despite the pressure, I am still afloat
Why do you keep on running?
I'm questioning why you keep leaving me behind

Our love is slipping away too quickly
All the stars are burning (for you)
You have many people who love you, but they won't last forever
But non of them are going to last

When everything calms down and our problems are resolved
And all the fog is clear
When things become clearer and we can see the path ahead
I promise to send out for you
I vow to reach out and find you when things get better
As soon as the storm is over
Repeat: When everything calms down and our problems are resolved

José Gonzalez - Heartbeats
Lyrics:
One night to be confused
One night to speed up truth
We had a promise paid
four hands and then away
Both under influence
we had divine sense
To know what to say
Mind as a razorblade
To call for hands of above
to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough
for me, no
One night of magic rush
The start of simple touch
One night to push and scream
and then relief
Ten days of perfect tunes
The colors red and blue
We had a promise made
we were in love
To call for hands of above
to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough
for me, no
And you, you knew the hand of the devil
And you, kept us awake with wolves teeth
sharing different heartbeats
in one night
To call for hands of above
to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough
for me, no
