Fue introducido en la escena artística por Jorge Cafrune en el año 1967, cuando éste incluyo dos de sus temas en el LP títulado "Jorge Cafrune".
Cuando es entrevistado, Larralde siempre aclara que el no es un cantante sino un cantor, ya que el fuerte de su obra no reside en la música sino en el valor de sus letras y en las fuertes críticas y reflexiones de vida que vierte en ellas.
