The lyrics of Del Sur al Litoral by Jose Larralde express a longing for connection and understanding between two regions of Argentina: the north, where the singer's guitar flies in a majestic sky, and the south, where ancient forests and the sacred site of Lanin reside. The singer reaches out to someone from the litoral, asking them to share their knowledge of the landscapes and sun of the Paraná region, as he himself envisions this area from afar. He hopes to show them his land, with its eternal snow and clear Limai river, and to exchange songs and verses in the languages of their respective indigenous peoples. The final lines reiterate this desire for cultural exchange and solidarity, as he imagines his guitar continuing its flight towards the litoral, carrying the melodies and rhythms of his people.
Overall, the song can be seen as a tribute to the beauty and diversity of Argentina's natural and cultural landscapes, but also as a plea for unity and mutual respect between different regions and communities. Larralde's use of poetic language and musical arrangements further emphasize these themes, creating a powerful message of cross-cultural dialogue and solidarity.
