Bosaxi
José Padilla Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell.
A love no one could deny
Don′t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me
I come in like a you wreck me
I come in like a
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls you wreck me
I put you high up in the sky
And now, you′re not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we're ashes on the ground
Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can′t live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me you, you wreck me
I came in like a wrecking ball
You wreck me
I come in like a
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls you, you wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me
Don′t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love

All I wanted was to break your walls
You, you wreck me

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in Jose Padilla's "Bosaxi" describe a tumultuous relationship where the two partners are deeply infatuated with each other, yet experience a lot of pain and destruction in the process. The lines "We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain/We jumped never asking why," indicate a willingness to put themselves on the line despite potential heartbreak. The next four lines, "We kissed, I fell under your spell/A love no one could deny/Don't you ever say I just walked away/I will always want you," show an intense emotional connection between the two.

However, it becomes clear that the relationship is destructive as the chorus kicks in. The singer compares themselves to a "wrecking ball," hitting their partner with a force that they have never felt before. And yet, despite the destruction, the singer still claims to love their partner, wanting nothing but to "break your walls." The line "All you ever did was wreck me" shows how both parties have been hurt in the relationship.

The repetition of "you wreck me" towards the end of the song further emphasizes the destructive nature of this relationship, and yet the singer admits they will "always want" the person who has caused them so much pain. In its entirety, "Bosaxi" is a song about the pain and chaos inherent in intense romantic relationships and the mixed feelings that come with loving someone who may ultimately be bad for us.
