Nacido en Bogotá el 29 de mayo de 1979, Fonseca se interesó por la música desde muy temprana edad. A los doce hizo su primer experimento componiendo un tema que logró plasmar en 500 copias que más adelante comercializó a familiares y amigos más cercanos. De esta manera comenzó a materializar un sueo que desde los 5 años tenía en mente. Para llevarlo a cabo, contó con el apoyo de sus padres, quienes veían en su empeño por ser cantante, una cualidad para que iniciara la carrera que siempre anheló. Por ello, Fonseca se matriculó en diferentes instituciones educativas como la Universidad Javeriana en Bogotá y el Berklee College of Music en Boston, Estados Unidos, donde adquirió destrezas que le permitieron sobresalir en el amplio y competitivo mundo artístico.
