I was feeling overwhelmed or lost, and looked to religion or spirituality for comfort or support.

I was feeling isolated or alone, and craved someone to talk to or spend time with.

But I didn't know this bird of prey
However, I was not aware of the looming danger or negativity that was coming my way.

Would be circling everyday
This danger or negativity is now constantly present in my life, continuously causing harm or distress.

I've seen the lightning strikes
I have experienced or witnessed powerful, sudden events that evoke feelings of awe or fear.

Over the eastern seas
These events have taken place in far-off or exotic locations, adding to their mystique or intensity.

Roamed the frozen tundras
I have traveled to harsh or unforgiving environments that test my resilience and survival skills.

And felt the arctic breeze
In these environments, I have experienced natural phenomena that are beautiful but also cold and unforgiving.

And touched the morning dew
I have experienced moments of peace or beauty in everyday life, such as being outside on a dewy morning.

Under the London sun
These moments have taken place in different locations or settings, including the bustling city of London.

I've been a refugee
I have experienced displacement or loss, likely due to war or other forms of violence and unrest.

Walking on the war scorched sands
This displacement has taken place in areas that have been damaged or destroyed by war, leaving lasting scars on the environment and its people.

Would be watching me everyday
Despite these experiences, a constant source of negativity or danger continues to watch over me, causing harm or distress.

Jesus make these rivers
I am praying for forgiveness or redemption, and asking for divine intervention to make my life easier or more meaningful.

To drown all the sinners
I am asking that the harmful or sinful aspects of life be washed away, leaving only goodness and beauty behind.

And I didn't know this bird of prey
Once again, I am realizing that I was not aware of the extent or danger of the negativity that has entered my life.

Would be eating my bones away
This negativity is now causing lasting harm, eating away at my happiness, security, and sense of self.

Are you going back to rehab
I am asking someone if they are planning to return to rehab, suggesting that they previously struggled with addiction or substance abuse.

Are you patching up your bleeding heart with pills
I am asking someone if they are using medication to deal with emotional pain or heartache, which could be a sign of addiction or dependence.

Or are you going back to Vegas
I am asking someone if they are returning to a place of temptation or sin, such as a casino, where they may be tempted to engage in unhealthy behaviors.

With your rolled up twenty dollar bills
I am implying that this person has a history of risky or impulsive behavior, and may be engaging in self-destructive behavior once again.

Would be eating my life away
Just as the bird of prey is eating away at my sense of self and emotional well-being, this person's self-destructive behavior is causing similar harm to their own life.
