Groban originally studied acting, but moved to singing as his voice developed. Groban attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, a free public school on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles, where students receive a conservatory-style education. David Foster called Groban to stand in for an ailing Andrea Bocelli to rehearse a duet, "The Prayer", with Celine Dion at the rehearsal for the 1998 Grammy Awards. Rosie O'Donnell immediately invited him to appear on her talk show. Foster asked him to sing at the California Governor's Gray Davis' 1999 inauguration. Career
1997–2001: Debut
In late 1997, the 16-year-old Groban was introduced by his vocal coach, Seth Riggs, to Grammy-winning producer and arranger David Foster and future manager Brian Avnet.[18][failed verification] At the time, Groban had no recording experience and was preparing for his studies at Carnegie Mellon.[18] Groban worked for David Foster as a rehearsal singer on a series of high-profile events, including the January 1999 California gubernatorial inauguration of Gray Davis and the 1999 Grammy Awards where—as a stand-in for Andrea Bocelli—he rehearsed Foster's "The Prayer" with Céline Dion. Groban finished his fifth studio album, entitled Illuminations, and the album was released on November 15, 2010.[24] Most of the songs on the album are about "specific situations that I've had where love has existed and ultimately failed," Groban told The New York Times, adding: "And other songs are about the quest, and it just not working out." Groban wrote 11 of the 13 songs on the album.[25] The first single from the album, "Hidden Away", was made available for free download via Facebook on September 8.[26] "For me to sit in a room with a piano in one take with some of Johnny Cash's musicians—that was totally new for me." Hé (Jesus) wants to LIVE with and IN you, you can just ásk Him:
"Please come in Jesus and be my Lord" He IS LÓVE.And then start "walking" and resting in His LOVE with Him, while reading His words (bible) and talking with Him. (getting to knów Him). Salvation is a FREE Gift of God, you don't have to earn it, just receive it and stárt your life wíth Him. Not everything will be all oké, but troubles are so much lighter when He is wíth you... And they will pass.
And you will "grow" and heal, if you lét Him work it ín you....
ps Because of a childhood full of hate, i felt depressed from when i was about 5, 6 and i wanted to NOT be. But my mom, i couldn't hurt hér!
So i lived..., when i was 15, i could nót live any longer even for her, and made up my mind, i am finished with this hell!
Then God intervened, He gave me the thought:
"Why not go to God while i am still alive, for i am going to meet Him anyway,
why not now!?!"
So i did, i became a child of God after a few weeks going to a "LIVE" church.... Jesus came in my heart and i was born again..... It still it took YEARS,
to be healed, where i àm now, but eventually He hàs healed éverything, in His order of importancy. and slow so i could comprehend His doings, and receive it.
And i feel compléte, nót perfect :))) small difference ; )
The last thing He healed inside was the fear of people and of Him.... 2 years ago,
when i was 55. He is still blessing me and convincing me of Hís LOVE, with love-tokens along the way of every-day-life.
Líttle tokens, but amazing ones to me..., the ones í love!

Now for sure i hope it doesn't always take that long, i may just be a very tough cookie, but i am HIS for ever! And blessed by Him <3 <3 <3

@Christine Sparrow If I may, I am 46, which means I'm pretty much at the age where my application value is also severely diminished in the market. I can only make do with the skillset I know most since my college year: translation from English to Indonesian and vice versa (I'm an Indonesian). I have been in the business for 23 years now, with clients from all over the world. Granted, it's not all roses. I'm not even rich doing it. Far from it. The first 5 years were hell. But I get by--even with a wife and two kids in tow.
Whatever scrap I managed to save after 23 years I put them all to stock tradings. I don't do the trading myself. I have a friend to do that, on commission based. I'm stupid at math and let us leave it at that. Lol. So far, I've managed to gain from its bi-weekly profits. Especially now when my translation job is no longer yielding enough due to covid19.
On the side, currently I am trying to write a book. A novel. This one has been a very personal dream since childhood. That's what I look up to in the future. Something to belong, anon.
What I'm saying is: stop trying to find a 9-5 job. At our age, it's simply not gonna happen. Create an opportunity for yourself. For instance, at the top of my head, you could still learn how to script and code (programming) and actually start to earn a living through that skill. So many opportunities on online freelance marketplace these days, since 2010. Or you could try gardening and then open a small fruit stall, perhaps? Or even become a youtuber. I don't know. You'll think of something.
The question is, do you still have the will to live?

I didnt know he had depression. Wow and He is using his God giving talent so beautifully to make a positive impact. I will always Love Music, for it speaks to your soul. My FiancéReyno was also talented. He had the voice of an Angel, and his passion was music. He loved to entertain people and fibd new talent also. I will always Love You My Angelface RGVCALLFJC. You will also be my one and only. I am not always good with words and it dont come easy. I am also very good with technology. An expert. But it is the small things that matters, and I will love You always and Forever to the moon and back Mwah. 💞🤘

This whole world is under the same thing. Being depressed and anxious isn’t a healthy way to be, but this is true for most people of this world. Only the return of Jesus ( Yeshua) is our answer. He is the only One that can save anyone, the end as we know it is coming very soon. I pray you all take heed to this message. God loves you all, He doesn’t want to lose anyone. This is a choice we all have to make in our lives. God bless each and everyone. 🙏❤️
