Henderson's films include the recent Disney hit Step Up, about a delinquent teen given a second chance. Theatergoers will have another opportunity to see his work in Paramount's Broken Bridges, in which he shares screen time with fellow Oklahoman and country music superstar Toby Keith. He most recently wrapped production opposite Kristin Cavallari (Laguna Beach) in the thriller Fingerprints.
Additional film credits include his debut in New Regency's The Girl Next Door, with Elisha Cuthbert, and Sony's recent hit remake of the family comedy Yours, Mine and Ours, with Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo.
No stranger to television, Henderson starred as the lead on FX's critically lauded Steven Bochco series, Over There, portraying an ambitious young soldier who had to cope with the tragic consequences of the war in Iraq and its effects on the people around him. Additional forays into TV include his series regular role on the comedy series One on One, as well as appearances on North Shore, She Spies and 8 Simple Rules.
Born in Dallas and raised in Tulsa, Henderson moved to Los Angeles after winning a talent search for the WB reality show Pop Stars. When not acting, he enjoys singing and songwriting.
Where'd You Go

Where'd you go?
My mothers all alone.
How could you turn away?
Leaving me so young I can't believe.
You be so cold
Hey, how could you run away?
Wanted to make you proud
You never were around.
I wonder, where'd you go?
How do you feel inside
Knowing your not in my life.
I wonder
Where'd you go?
Did you even
Ever want to see me again?
I hoped and prayed
That you'd come back in my life everyday
Oh father.
Wanted to make you proud
You never were around.
I wonder, where'd you go?
How do you feel inside
Knowing your not in my life.
I wonder
Where'd you go?
Here I am
Still without you
In my life, by my side.
Oh
But I have moved on.
Pain is gone.
Oh, yeah.
Wanted to make you proud
You never were around.
Where'd you go?
I wonder
Where'd you go?
Wanted to make you proud
You never were around.
I wonder, where'd you go?
How do you feel inside
Knowing your not in my life.
I wonder
Where'd you go?
The lyrics to Josh Henderson's song Where'd You Go carry a powerful message about the absence of a father figure in a child's life. The singer of the song is a child, two weeks old, who is questioning where their father is and why he left them and their mother alone. The child wonders how their father could turn away and leave them at such a young age, and express the pain and hurt that comes from growing up without a father. The singer believes that their father knew that their life was in his hands and that leaving them was a deliberate and hurtful act. The child confesses that they wanted to make their father proud but he was never around to see them accomplish anything. The singer expresses their sorrow and pain and wonders if their father ever even wanted to see them again.
As the song progresses, the singer grows up and moves on from the pain of their father's absence. They acknowledge that they are still without their father in their life but have found a way to live without him by their side. The pain has subsided, and the singer is no longer holding onto the hurt that their father's absence caused them. The song is an emotional portrayal of the longing for a father's love and the impact his absence has on a child's life.
