In 2013 Josh Record signed a deal with Virgin Records and in late November 2013 went onto release his EP "Bones", that has been play listed on BBC Radio 1.
In March 2014, Josh Record re-released "For Your Love" on Virgin Records. Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1 made it his "Hottest Record in The World" on 26th February 2014. "For Your Love" made it to number 11 in the Alternative charts on iTunes in the UK.
Josh Record's debut album Pillars is scheduled for release on 14 July 2014.

Josh Record’s song “Do” is a reflection on life and relationships. The singer talks about his life filled with grey pavements and the rain clouds, living behind closed blinds, trying to be happy even when things go wrong. The singer mentions that although others may not see it, he knows when someone is hiding something from him. He then goes on to admit that while some things remain confusing or unclear to him, he understands the arguments he has had in the past better than the madness that surrounds him now.
