Josh Turner is a country artist who describes his music as South Carolina Lowcountry. His voice and musical style has often been compared to that of Johnny Cash's. Hailing from the Hannah, South Carolina, Josh moved to Nashville in 1996 to study music at Belmont University. It was there that he met his current wife, Jennifer Ford, whom he married in 2003. During that same year, he released his debut album, Long Black Train. The title song "Long Black Train" peaked at #13 on Billboard's US Country chart, staying on the charts for over 40 weeks.
Your Man, Josh's 2nd album, was released early 2006. The first single was the title track, "Your Man," which eventually climbed all the way to number 1. His big hit, though, was his second single, "Would You Go With Me." This song solidified the album's soon platinum status. His Christian-themed "Me and God" was released as a single on the Christian radio circuit. It was a moderate success, and was eventually released as a single on the Country radio.
"Time Is Love," is the first single from Josh Turner's fifth studio album. It finds him turning the phrase "time is money" on its head: ("Time is love / Gotta run / Love to hang longer but I got someone who waits / Waits for me and right now she's where I need to be / Time is love, gotta run.") The song was released digitally on December 20, 2011 and for radio adds on January 8, 2012. (Time Is Love Songfacts)
Deeper Than My Love
Josh Turner Lyrics

Go and get you a shovel and dig clear to China
But there's nothing, no there's nothing
Deeper than my love
You can drop in the ocean in a deep diving submarine
You can sit on the bottom down where there's nothing seen
But there's nothing, no there's nothing
Girl there ain't nothing better than you and me together
It's now and forever right down to the letter
And I won't ever, never ever get enough
'Cause there's nothing deeper than my love
Girl you know I want you down in my country soul
You can look into my eyes as far as you wanna go
'Cause there's nothing, no there's nothing
Deeper than my love
You know there ain't nothing better than you and me together
It's now and forever right down to the letter
And I won't ever, never ever get enough
'Cause there's nothing deeper than my love
No there ain't nothing better than you and me together
It's now and forever right down to the letter
And I won't ever, never ever get enough
No there ain't nothing bigger as far as I can figure
It ain't nothing longer and ain't nothing stronger
But baby I'm yours sure as there's a lord above
And there's nothing deeper than my love
Deeper than my love
Deeper than my love
The lyrics of "Deeper Than My Love" by Josh Turner express the depth of the singer's love for his partner. He uses analogies to illustrate how nothing in the world is deeper than the love he has for her. He first refers to an old coal miner, who spends his days digging deep into the earth, suggesting that his love is even more profound than the miner's stark efforts. Next, he paints a picture of a deep ocean, where a submarine can barely see anything, but still, his love surpasses the ocean's depths. Finally, he tells his lover that his soul is like a country, and she could look into his eyes as far as she wants. However, even if she tries, she won't be able to find anything deeper than the love he has for her.
Throughout the song, the singer reinforces the idea that there is nothing quite like the bond between him and his partner. The tone of the song is romantic and filled with passion, summed up by the repeated chorus, "there's nothing deeper than my love." The lyrics convey an almost spiritual connection between two people in love that can't be measured, a bond that is infinite and unbreakable.
