Stone in Love
Journey Lyrics

I do recall, those were the best times, most of all
In the heat with a blue-jean girl
Burnin' love comes once in a lifetime
She found me singing by the railroad track
Took me home, we danced by the moonlight
Those summer nights are callin'
Stone in love
Can't help myself, I'm fallin'
Stone in love
Ooh, old dusty roads, led to the river
Runnin' slow
She pulled me down, ooh, I'd get clever
We'd go 'round
In the heat with a blue jean girl
Burnin' love comes once in a lifetime
Oh the memories never fade away
Golden girl, I'll keep you forever
Those summer nights are callin'
Stone in love
Can't help myself, I'm fallin'
Stone in love
Those summer nights are callin'
Stone in love
Can't help myself, I'm fallin'
Stone in love
Stone in love
Stone in love
Stone in love
Stone in love
Stone in love
The song "Stone in Love," by Journey, is a testament to love's enduring power and memories that linger forever. The singer wistfully recalls the days of his youth, particularly the nights spent with a woman who became the love of his life. He vividly remembers the feeling of being with her, whether they were dancing by the moonlight or strolling by the riverside. He speaks of their time together as the best times of his life, and how memories never fade away. The song's refrain is particularly poignant as the singer sings that he can't help but fall in love with this woman all over again every time summer nights roll around.

I played this album to death on my car cassette player...
I was 21...had a beautiful new girlfriend, was earning really good money fitting windows, was playing guitar in a good band, and was learning Kung Fu...with the best teacher in the U.K.

Happy 75th birthday to the greatest voice ever Steve Perry!🎶✌🏼❤️🥰😍
@electronicengineer
If I remember correctly Evelyn, Steve Perry was named as having the "Golden Voice of Rock and Roll", back in the day. After growing up in the 1980's and often revisiting several of my favorite (at the time of course) Journey songs over the decades, I really must agree with you. Steve Perry definitely had the best, most unique, and most musical voice, as the lead singer of Journey. I just wish that the band members could have gotten along better with each other. I understand the infighting that happened amongst Journey's band members most likely prevented the band from releasing a lot more awesome music/songs over the years. Regardless, I am 100% grateful for what Journey did release and their performances, at the end of the day were great as well. Fred
