A Hard Days Night
Joyce Lyrics

It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel lover well.
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
Oh, it's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright
The lyrics of A Hard Day's Night by Joyce reflect the turmoil and exhaustion of the singer after a long day's work, contrasted with the respite and comfort he finds in his lover's arms. The repeated phrase "It's been a hard day's night" emphasizes the physical and emotional strain the singer has endured, working like a dog to earn money for his lover. Despite this, he finds solace and happiness when he returns home, grateful for the love and care he receives from his partner.
The song also touches on the themes of materialism and consumerism, with the singer working hard to provide for his lover, hoping to receive gifts and praise in return. However, he ultimately finds that the true value lies in their connection and love for each other, which makes all the hard work and exhaustion worthwhile.
Overall, A Hard Day's Night is a tender and affectionate tribute to the healing power of love and the importance of human connection in a world that can be difficult and challenging.
