Joyce has in her baggage an extensive discography and about 400 recordings of her songs by some of the biggest names in Brazilian popular music, such as Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Edu Lobo, Emílio Santiago, Boca Livre, Mônica Salmaso, Leny Andrade, Nana Caymmi, Zizi Possi, Elizeth Cardoso, Simone and many others. Internationally, she has been recorded by big names like Annie Lennox, Wallace Roney, Omara Portuondo, Black Eyed Peas, David Sanchez, Jon Lucien, Claus Ogerman, Gerry Mulligan, Till Brönner, Flora Purim and others. Her compositions have been used in soundtracks for films (such as Robert Altman's "The Player" and "Legally Blonde"), animations (she participated in the soundtrack of the Japanese anime "Wolf's Rain" in partnership with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno), TV shows and theater performances.
She received 4 Latin Grammy nominations and has so far 34 individual CDs and 2 DVDs, besides compilations and participations. Currently, her work also follows an international path, with world tours every year and recordings of new albums in different countries, without ever losing her Brazilian-feminine identity. She performs annually on the Blue Note circuit in Japan, and in jazz festivals and tours in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Corcovado
Joyce Lyrics

Este amor, uma canção
Pra fazer feliz
A quem se ama
Muita calma pra pensar
E ter tempo pra sonhar
Da janela vê-se o corcovado
O redentor
Quero a vida sempre assim
Com você perto de mim
Até o apagar da velha chama
E eu que era triste
Descrente desse mundo
Ao encontrar você
Eu conheci
O que é felicidade
Meu amor
The lyrics of Joyce's song Corcovado describe a beautiful and peaceful moment between two people deeply in love. The first line "Um cantinho, um violão" sets the scene of a cozy and intimate setting, perhaps a quiet corner with a guitar. The next line "Este amor, uma canção" implies that their love is like a song, that brings joy and happiness to those who hear it. The following line "Pra fazer feliz, A quem se ama" emphasizes that their love is a gift, something that brings happiness and fulfillment to their special someone.
The next two lines of the song "Muita calma pra pensar, E ter tempo pra sonhar" highlight the importance of taking things slow, enjoying the present moment and thinking about the future with positivity and hope. The following line "Da janela vê-se o corcovado, O redentor, Que lindo!" paints a lovely picture of the magnificent view from the window that they're looking out of, presumably gazing at the famous Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro.
In the final verse of the song, Joyce sings passionately and romantically about wanting to spend the rest of her life with her partner, always by their side until the end. She describes how her life was once filled with sadness and disbelief in the world, but since finding her love, she has discovered the true meaning of happiness. Overall, Corcovado is a beautiful love song that celebrates the joys of being with someone special and cherishing every moment spent together.
