Joyce has in her baggage an extensive discography and about 400 recordings of her songs by some of the biggest names in Brazilian popular music, such as Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Edu Lobo, Emílio Santiago, Boca Livre, Mônica Salmaso, Leny Andrade, Nana Caymmi, Zizi Possi, Elizeth Cardoso, Simone and many others. Internationally, she has been recorded by big names like Annie Lennox, Wallace Roney, Omara Portuondo, Black Eyed Peas, David Sanchez, Jon Lucien, Claus Ogerman, Gerry Mulligan, Till Brönner, Flora Purim and others. Her compositions have been used in soundtracks for films (such as Robert Altman's "The Player" and "Legally Blonde"), animations (she participated in the soundtrack of the Japanese anime "Wolf's Rain" in partnership with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno), TV shows and theater performances.
She received 4 Latin Grammy nominations and has so far 34 individual CDs and 2 DVDs, besides compilations and participations. Currently, her work also follows an international path, with world tours every year and recordings of new albums in different countries, without ever losing her Brazilian-feminine identity. She performs annually on the Blue Note circuit in Japan, and in jazz festivals and tours in Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Contando histуrias
Que eu nгo sei se quero acreditar
Mente por aн
Exagerando, se fazendo popular
Brinca por aн
Deixando a gente sem saber
Se vai voltar ou nгo
Desafiando minha imaginaзгo
Danзa por aн
Troca de par a cada vez
Sem perceber sequer
Que ao se dividir
Vai agulhando meu orgulho de mulher
Chega por aqui
Com a cara sonsa de quem vem
Cheio de amor pra dar
Passa ano que vem
Diz que eu tambйm fui por aн
Pra variar...
In Joyce's song "Diz Que Eu Tambem Fui por Ai", the lyrics tell the story of a person who is recounting the actions of someone they know. They speak of this person, who leaves and returns randomly, telling stories that may or may not be true. They also talk about how this person dances and changes partners often, without realizing the effect it has on the people around them. The singer seems to feel a mixture of confusion and resentment towards this person's behavior.
The song seems to be about the idea of a person who doesn't fully commit to a relationship, someone who is always on the move and never stays in one place for too long. This person's actions can be seen as selfish, as they do not take into consideration the people they leave behind. The lyrics suggest that this person is also prone to exaggeration and might tell tall tales to make themselves appear more interesting, leading to doubt over the truthfulness of their stories.
Overall, the song seems to be a commentary on the negative effects of someone's actions on those around them. It portrays the singer's emotions of anger, confusion, and resentment towards the person they are talking about.
