Joyce has in her baggage an extensive discography and about 400 recordings of her songs by some of the biggest names in Brazilian popular music, such as Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Edu Lobo, Emílio Santiago, Boca Livre, Mônica Salmaso, Leny Andrade, Nana Caymmi, Zizi Possi, Elizeth Cardoso, Simone and many others. Internationally, she has been recorded by big names like Annie Lennox, Wallace Roney, Omara Portuondo, Black Eyed Peas, David Sanchez, Jon Lucien, Claus Ogerman, Gerry Mulligan, Till Brönner, Flora Purim and others. Her compositions have been used in soundtracks for films (such as Robert Altman's "The Player" and "Legally Blonde"), animations (she participated in the soundtrack of the Japanese anime "Wolf's Rain" in partnership with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno), TV shows and theater performances.
She received 4 Latin Grammy nominations and has so far 34 individual CDs and 2 DVDs, besides compilations and participations. Currently, her work also follows an international path, with world tours every year and recordings of new albums in different countries, without ever losing her Brazilian-feminine identity. She performs annually on the Blue Note circuit in Japan, and in jazz festivals and tours in Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Joyce Lyrics

Os olhos já não podem ver
Coisas que só o coração pode entender
Fundamental é mesmo o amor
É impossível ser feliz sozinho...
O resto é mar
É tudo que não sei contar
Vem de mansinho à brisa e me diz
É impossível ser feliz sozinho...
Da primeira vez era a cidade
Da segunda o cais e a eternidade...
Agora eu já sei
Da onda que se ergueu no mar
E das estrelas que esquecemos de contar
O amor se deixa surpreender
Enquanto a noite vem nos envolver...
Vou te contar...
The lyrics of Joyce's song, "Wave," convey a message of the importance of love and the impossibility of achieving happiness alone. The first few lines, "I'll tell you, the eyes can't see things that only the heart can understand. Love is essential, as it's impossible to be happy alone," suggest that the singer has come to understand that love is a fundamental part of life. Through the lines, "The rest is sea, everything that I cannot explain. They are beautiful things that I have to give to you. Come, gently, on the breeze and tell me, it's impossible to be happy alone," the singer implies that there is a deeper, more profound relationship than what can be seen on the surface.
Another notable feature of the song's lyrics is the way it takes the listener on a journey. The line "The first time it was the city, the second time the dock and eternity" suggests that the singer has been on a journey, and the next verse reveals that they have discovered something profound. "Now I know about the wave that rose out at sea and the stars that we forgot to count. Love lets itself be surprised while the night comes to envelop us." The song appears to be a reflection on the transformative power of love and its ability to help us see things in a new way.

Todo o azul do mar! Me veio a cabeça a música "Todo o azul do mar" do 14 Bis, muito linda!
