Joyce has in her baggage an extensive discography and about 400 recordings of her songs by some of the biggest names in Brazilian popular music, such as Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Edu Lobo, Emílio Santiago, Boca Livre, Mônica Salmaso, Leny Andrade, Nana Caymmi, Zizi Possi, Elizeth Cardoso, Simone and many others. Internationally, she has been recorded by big names like Annie Lennox, Wallace Roney, Omara Portuondo, Black Eyed Peas, David Sanchez, Jon Lucien, Claus Ogerman, Gerry Mulligan, Till Brönner, Flora Purim and others. Her compositions have been used in soundtracks for films (such as Robert Altman's "The Player" and "Legally Blonde"), animations (she participated in the soundtrack of the Japanese anime "Wolf's Rain" in partnership with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno), TV shows and theater performances.
She received 4 Latin Grammy nominations and has so far 34 individual CDs and 2 DVDs, besides compilations and participations. Currently, her work also follows an international path, with world tours every year and recordings of new albums in different countries, without ever losing her Brazilian-feminine identity. She performs annually on the Blue Note circuit in Japan, and in jazz festivals and tours in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Copacabana
Joyce Moreno Lyrics

Nenhuma tem o encanto que tu possues
Tuas areias, teu céu tão lindo
Tuas sereias, sempre sorrindo
Copacabana princesinha do mar
Pelas manhãs tu és a vida a cantar
E a tardinha o sol poente
Na gente
Copacabana o mar eterno cantor
Ao te beijar, ficou perdido de amor
E hoje vive a murmurar, só a ti
Copacabana eu hei de amar
Existem praias tão lindas, cheias de luz
Nenhuma tem o encanto que tu possues
Tuas areias, teu céu tão lindo
Tuas sereias, sempre sorrindo
Copacabana princesinha do mar
Pelas manhãs tu és a vida a cantar
E a tardinha o sol poente
Deixa sempre uma saudade
Na gente
Copacabana o mar eterno cantor
Ao te beijar ficou perdido de amor
E hoje vive a murmurar, só a ti
Copacabana eu hei de amar
Existem praias tão lindas, cheias de luz
The lyrics of Joyce Moreno's song "Copacabana" are a tribute to the beauty and charm of the famous beach in Rio de Janeiro. The song begins by acknowledging the existence of other beautiful beaches filled with light, but none of them possess the unique allure and enchantment of Copacabana. The sand, the sky, and the mermaids, who are always smiling, all contribute to the beach's irresistible appeal.
The chorus celebrates Copacabana as the "little princess of the sea" and "eternal singer of the sea". In the morning, the beach is alive with singing and in the evening, the setting sun leaves behind a melancholy feeling of longing. The sea itself is personified as having fallen in love with Copacabana and only murmurs of her now. The song ends with a declaration that the singer will always love Copacabana.
