Cuenta que la inspiración para "Me Falla" fue su novia, Johanna. Hace un año, Juan Esteban (su verdadero nombre) sintió la necesidad de contar la historia de su vida un año atrás: "En esa época yo estaba pasando por un mal momento. Mi mamá se accidentó, yo estaba viviendo solo y andaba como desubicado, hasta que conocí a la que es mi novia ahora. Fue una persona que me brindó apoyo y eso dice la canción: "Cuando tú llegaste a mi vida, nena linda, todo cambió, aquí todo brilla por fin... y cuando tú te vas el corazón me falla".
La canción, aunque tiene una versión en reggaeton, es zouk, un ritmo que se escucha en las islas francesas y que llega a San Andrés, así como el calypso y el reggae.
