One of their earliest singles "Illusion" gained attention when it became part of a global campaign the retailer and fashion line H&M. But their breakthrough came in 2018 with their cover of "Dancing in the Moonlight,". The song was originally recorded in 1970 by Boffalongo, led by Kelly Sherman, and popularized by King Harvest. Jubël's version, featuring vocals by Neimy, initially charted in Sweden, Norway, and Belgium. However, a re-release in 2020 propelled the song to greater international success, charting on the UK Singles Chart and peaking at number 11. The track gained further exposure when it was featured in the sixth series of the reality show Love Island in 2020.
While experimenting in the studio with the melody of Toploader's 2000 version, itself a cover of the 1972 original by King Harvest, Jubël sensed its potential and enlisted the help of their friend Neimy for vocals. Despite spending several years shelved, the song garnered attention when an English guy, having heard one of Jubël's other songs, contacted them and expressed interest in listening to their music.
Following their breakthrough, Jubël released additional tracks such as "Teenage Minds" and "On the Beach," featuring their characteristic sound with decadent guitars and floating melodies. In 2019, they released their debut album, "Strawtown," followed by the "Strawtown EP" in 2020. Their music continued to find success, with "Weekend Vibes" becoming another radio hit and gaining popularity on TikTok with over 150 million video views. The duo also performed at Stockholm's Lollapalooza music festival, showcasing their talents to a wider audience.
Jubël's success extended beyond their initial breakthrough, collaborating with Israeli artist Noa Kirel and Danish international superstar Christopher in 2022. They later released "Tripel A," a collaboration with American rap star NLE Choppa.

Might get drunk and sleep all day
You could borrow my old t-shirt
Like you used to do
I put some money in a thousand dollar car
Let's drive to the motel bar
You know the place when I first kissed you
Can't we just go back?
And none of our friends
Would believe us
'Cause we left it in the dark
And now I know it made a mark
So over these games
But now I need ya
Another place, another time
It was always in our, teenage minds
Teenage minds
Another place, another time
It was always in our, teenage minds
I could almost feel the taste of you
The Lucky Strike that we used to do
Stole a bottle of expensive wine
Just to share with you
You said that we should be dreaming
Of being something better
Oh babe, that was an endless time
Your body close to mine
And none of our friends
Would believe us
'Cause we left it in the darkAnd now I know it made a mark
So over these games
But now I need ya
Another place, another time
It was always in our
Teenage minds
Teenage minds
Another place, another time
It was always in our, teenage minds
None of our friends
Would believe us
'Cause we left it in the dark
And now I know it made a mark
So over these games
Now I need ya
Another place, another time
It was always in our
Teenage minds
Teenage minds
Another place, another time
It was always in our, teenage minds
Oh yeah yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah yeah
Teenage minds
Oh yeah yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah yeah
Another place another time
It was always in our
Teenage minds
The song "Teenage Minds" by Jubel reflects on a nostalgic summer romance that took place in the past, where the singer reminiscences on the times when they were younger and in love. The lyrics refer to a time when the couple had to navigate new experiences together and were filled with the hope of a brighter future. The opening verse mentions the idea of escaping to a favorite place, and the lyrics switch between past and present tense, evoking strong feelings of longing for a simpler time in a relationship that is no longer present. The lyrics also reference specific romantic moments, such as the first kiss and sharing expensive wine, as the singer longs to experience the intense emotions and connections they felt during that youthful summer.
The chorus of the song is anchored by the phrase "another place, another time, it was always in our teenage minds," which speaks to the idea that the memories of their young love are still present in their minds, even as they have grown and changed over time. These lyrics hint at the idea that despite being haunted by memories, there is a deep sense of warmth and comfort in recalling these experiences.
Overall, the song is a reflection of the beauty and importance of young love and the power that memories hold over our lives, reminding us of what once was and encouraging us to cherish the present moment.

I can't believe I missed almost 5 years of these gems. I was a Galavant superfan, listening to gems like Falling, pourple heigs, parachute, hey mama, and then I missed this great duo's radar, and happily found it now with Jubel. I don't understand why it doesn't have so many views, they are the best I've heard. Greetings from Peru 🇵🇪 from a superfan.
