End Of My Rainbow
Jude Lyrics

It was all I had left when they said you've found
someone else
I know it's not cool to reveal I almost died
But I'm tired and I know you never liked me when I lied
If this is the end of my rainbow I need to know
I want to be free from every chain
Come on keep on raining
I've been around the world I've seen a couple things
I recall words of wisdom dangling from their puppet
strings
If rain comes down the way they say it does in song
Then I was wrong and I've been waiting for the punch
line way too long
If this is the end of my rainbow I need to know
I want to be free from every chain
If I'm going to die before I find my pot of gold
Come on keep on raining
All that I need is a
river running over me
I want to be beautiful again
And in time I will shine
Underwater I will be divine
Come on keep on raining
Keep on raining
If this is the end of my rainbow, I need to know
The lyrics to Jude's song "End of My Rainbow" express his personal struggles with heartbreak and depression. The song begins with him revealing that he wrote the song as an emotional outlet to avoid suicide. He then addresses the situation that caused him to feel this way, admitting that he feels hurt and betrayed by the fact that his lover has moved on with someone else. He acknowledges that telling the truth about his emotional state is not always seen as cool, but he is done with pretending and hiding his pain. He then ponders about the possibility of this being the end of his rainbow, implying that he feels there is no hope left for his happiness.
In the following verses, Jude reflects on his life experiences, mentioning that he has traveled and seen many things but never found true happiness. He talks about words of wisdom he's heard but questions if they are true, indicating his skepticism about life's promises. Throughout the song, he emphasizes his desire to be free from every chain and to find true happiness. The chorus repeats the phrase "come on keep on raining," which is a metaphor for him needing to keep feeling his emotions in order to heal and move forward.
Overall, the song offers a poignant look into the emotions and mindset of a person going through heartbreak and depression. It tackles themes of hopelessness, the search for true happiness, and the importance of being honest about one's emotions. It's a powerful reminder that no matter how difficult life can be, there is always hope for healing and growth.
