I Can't Feel My Face
On Jan. 29 Santana revealed details about the upcoming album with Cash Money Records' star artist, Lil' Wayne. The collaboration, titled I Can't Feel My Face, is finished, according to Santana said that a recently leaked mixtape was just a taste of what he had in store with Lil Wayne "That's done, everybody who thinks that not happening, we did a mixtape, and the mixtape leaked," Santana told AllHipHop.com. "We did the tour together and we got over 40 records, so that's definitely going down." Santana said the two would select the best of the songs they recorded to produce I Can't Feel My Face, which is due in stores this year.
"It's something that's never been done before, a dude from the north and a dude from the south, especially with the south being so hot, and me being one of the hottest dudes in the north," Santana boasted. "We just gonna let the music talk. Me and Weezy just put out a single 'Black Republicans.' We Black Democrats running those Black Republicans out of office."
I Can't Feel My Face is a collaborative album by Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana planned to release sometime in 2007. The first single of the album will be called "I Can't Feel My Face". The second single will be called "Bonafide Hustla". The first radio single was leaked on the internet in June 2006, called "Get at These Niggaz". The album will feature guest appearances by Birdman, Cam'Ron, the whole Dipset crew, Curren$y, Jim Jones, Paul Wall, Young Jeezy, Cassidy, Ying Yang Twins, Jermaine Dupri and Chamillionaire. The leaked version contains 13 tracks including "Keep on Talking," a track expected to be released on Tha Carter III.
Black Republicans Freestyle
Juelz Santana & Lil Wayne Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Ya dig? (Ya dig?) Santana (Weezy F), ayy, haha
Ayy, Wayne (what up, man?)
What you been workin' on nigga? (Um, you know, I got Curren$y album)
(And quietly workin' on my album, ya dig?)
Oh, I'm ready to brush my shoulders off and drop my next album too, nigga
(That's what it is)
But dig this, they wanna know what we been workin' on together (yeah)
They know what it is
So if they ever thought the South and the North was gonna collide (that's what they think)
Guess what, we already did, go (already)
I'm feelin' like a Black republican, nah, I can't call it
More like a Black democrat runnin' 'em out of office (get out)
Young Barack Obama, I'm all for it (haha)
The Rock of Gibraltar has now fallen on ya
I protect my land like a farmer, pockets stay chubby like Toccara (yup), huh
Or should I say fat like the Parkers
Tote big guns like I'm still playin' Contra (ha)
Y'all washed up like money that's laundered
Y'all funny, I'm bonkers
Honest, girls strapped to my dick like a harness
Rock star, flier than an ostrich (haha)
And I cover east, west, north, south like a compass
I shall shine forever, never tarnish (never)
Money buried behind my house like a garden (what?)
All green, my bank account's like a forest
I Can't Feel My Face is gettin' started (yeah)
And Weezy is my accomplice, ya dig?
A Black activist like Sonny Carson
Stripes of a sergeant, salute me
And chicks, I get 'em high
Higher than turbulences
White Phantom, lookin' so Fergielicious
I'm from the city of big drugs and murder victims
Its get rich, go to jail or be a murder victim
Ayy, now all y'all listen
If you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen (yeah)
I feel like a Black republican, tote a MAC in the public and
Act so southern, die for my brethren
Money, money, money, like Money Mackin' Publishing
One life to live, never ask for a mulligan
Streets call but the heat make me feel covenant
Been had cake day, they late like Ed Sullivan
Fly like an eagle but no I'm not Donovan
Boy, you better go eat some soup with your mama 'nem
And my mind is on another continent
I am real Cash Money, no counterfeit
I don't parkin' lot pimp, I just politic
Bet I get all in her mouth like Polident
New Orleans representer to the inner
Come from the city where the glitter don't glimmer
The sun don't shine and the guns don't sleep
Wake a nigga ass up like he got somewhere to be
Yeah (ya dig?)
Ha, ayy (and let the world know), and by the way
This is not a diss song either, people (uh-uh, uh-uh)
We don't diss them, we dismiss them (ya dig?)
Recognize or step aside (yeah), ya dig? (Hahaha)
We let the music talk (Drought 3)
And by the way (what?)
It's Santana (it's Weezy), I'm back (yeah)
You dudes gotta stand in the mirror backwards
'Cause you can't face yourself (assholes)
Dipset for life (Cash Money, what up?)
Young Money, Skull Gang, mill
The lyrics to "Black Republicans Freestyle" by Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne reflects their pride and confidence as artists, as well as their political and social viewpoints. The song starts with a conversation between Santana and Wayne, where they discuss their individual projects and tease a collaboration. They then assert that the South and the North have already collided in their music, defying any expectations.
Santana declares himself a "Black republican" but quickly clarifies that he is not fitting into any specific political label. Instead, he sees himself as a Black democrat running people out of office, symbolizing his role in challenging the status quo and pushing for change. He compares himself to Barack Obama, voicing his support for the former president. Santana also emphasizes his strength and determination in protecting his land and his success as a rapper. He boasts about his wealth, comparing his bank account to a forest, while also referencing his upcoming collaborative album "I Can't Feel My Face."
Wayne, on the other hand, portrays himself as a Black activist, reminiscent of Sonny Carson, a prominent civil rights figure. He describes his street life, where the pursuit of money prevails, and the potential consequences of getting caught up in crime. Wayne's lyrics reflect the reality of living in a dangerous environment where wealth, imprisonment, or even death are the only options. He asserts his authenticity in being a true representative of Cash Money and dismisses those who question his credibility.
Overall, "Black Republicans Freestyle" showcases Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne's lyrical prowess, their pride as artists, and their political and social beliefs.
