Old Hollywood
Julian Casablancas Lyrics
In old Hollywood, proud and gray
All of the ghosts gathered 'round the TV
We can argue all that you like
We can argue until we fight
But the loser may have been right
Glamorous, black and white
Zoning out, most the night
All the ones that we once were hating?
Men are clumsy, violent fools
Women are a delicate pool of flowers and cobras
Short story long
I put it in a song
As the TV was shouting on
Because being quiet can sometimes
Be more powerful than being right
You could try it
We can argue all that you like
We can argue until we fight
But the loser may have been right

During his hiatus from The Strokes, he released a solo album called "Phrazes for the Young" on the 9th of November in 2009.

Seriously he has never sung a bad chorus, ever. He is such a fucking 80's baby, you can hear it in his solo work and Angles. I love it!
boogieman.
All the time chorus, sorry bro

You know, not many male singers have the balls to croon like JC anymore. He is really a throwback to a different era in music. And mixes so many styles. His voice is smooth like the finest silk : )
InsaneIn Damembrain
I wonder if his evolution is like that?
Isaac Brown
Brandon Flowers from The Killers kind of has a similar style especially on the song Change Your Mind, almost Frank Sinatra-esque. Also the guy from Hot Hot Heat maybe?

@TheLucianoDavid I am not super well-versed in Radiohead (yet), but I got really into Hail to the Thief some years back and yes, I think Yorke is similar in some ways. I see them both as the kinds of vocalists that seek to use their voices in a very "instrumental" way, that is, the vocals are mixed such that they are "inside" the music and not on top of it. And they both've got the croon thing goin on, in their own ways :)

This song reminds me of Radiohead

I don't think I've ever heard such a confident, yet ominous, song other than this one. Jules is a musical genius.
