Dejame Volar
Julio Iglesias Jr. Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
cansado no me importa, llegaré
sobreviviré, destino que soñé
Coro
no pienso regresar
The lyrics of Julio Iglesias Jr.'s song "Dejame Volar" talk about the desire to escape from the constraints of life and find a place where everything is easy to accept. The singer feels unable to feel the same way others do about living and dreams of going to another place. He doesn't want to think about ending things or running away any further. The chorus expresses the longing to fly, forget, and erase the pain of not knowing where one is going. The singer wants to walk without finding a path that leads to the end, admitting that he has deceived himself before but doesn't care anymore. He will survive and fulfill his dreamed destiny, even if he is tired. The bridge talks about the hope of continuing, even when one feels like giving up and not wanting to return. The singer pleads to be allowed to fly and forget, reminding that the world is tired of waiting.
