Siento que
Jumbo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Vienes a mi casa a oír mis discos viejos
La televisión prendida viendo mi reflejo

Me coges de la mano
En serie polaroid
Te sientas a mi lado
Me abrazas
Agarras y me dejas

Vienes a mi casa a oír mis discos viejos

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Jumbo's song "Siento que" speak of a romantic relationship that is full of uncertainty and doubt. The singer describes their lover coming over to their house to listen to old records and watch themselves in the reflection of the TV. The singer feels an intimate connection with their lover, holding hands and embracing, but also fears that this love may only be temporary. They express a desire for their lover to love them in the present and the future, and struggle with the tension between the past and the future that exists in their relationship.

The use of "serie polaroid" in the lyrics is a reference to the popular instant film camera, which was widely used in the 80s when the song was written. This provides a nostalgic element to the imagery of the song, further emphasizing the theme of looking back at the past. The reference to "ella es mi disco" is also a nod to the music of the 80s, which is a recurring theme throughout the song.

One interesting aspect of "Siento que" is the use of a repeated, descending guitar riff that gives the song a melancholic feel. This riff serves as a unifying element for the song, appearing in various sections and tying them together. Additionally, the song's lyrics were written by the band's lead singer, Clemente Castillo, who is known for his introspective and poetic songwriting style.
